The NCO Soloists are musicians of the renowned   Northern Chamber Orchestra.
Their principal string players form the NCO Soloists String Quintet.

This concert combines Mozart's charming early string quintet in B flat, with the much later string quintet in C Major — one of his greatest works.   Between the two is Mendelssohn's first string quintet which he wrote the year after his octet (despite its lower opus number), but revised six years later with a completely different adagio.
