West Kirby is on the Wirral Peninsular, 9 miles to the West of Liverpool, and is easily accessible from all parts of Britain both by car and by railway.







TO WEST KIRBY BY RAILWAY

Travel to Liverpool Lime Street mainline station and then decend to Lime Street underground station and take the
Wirral Line train bound for West Kirby.

(The West Kirby destination is shown on the front of the trains, and also on electronic displays on the platform.)

Follow the directions below.



  • Alight at West Kirby station (where the train terminates).
  • Cross the pedestrian crossing immediately outside the railway station, and turn left.
  • Pass Acacia Grove and the Dee Inn, and Westbourne Road is the next junction you come to.
  • Turn right into Westbourne Road.
  • Westbourne Hall is 380 metres along Westbourne Road on the left hand side.
  • (Do not confuse the Methodist Church Hall with Westbourne Hall - which is a further 100 metres beyond the Methodist Hall.)

        TO WEST KIRBY BY CAR

  1. Leave the M53 motorway at Junction 2
  2. At the end of the Moreton Spur slip road, go straight across the roundabout (A5027), following sign for Greasby, Frankby, West Kirby
  3. (Signs for "West Kirby Marine Lake" are the least ambiguous signs to follow until No.6 below)
  4. Go through 2 sets of traffic lights on the A5027 until you come to another roundabout
  5. Take the third exit from the roundabout (the B5139), turning into Greasby
  6. Pass through Greasby and Frankby (along Frankby Road - B5139) until you reach a crossroads at the bottom of a steep hill,
    (with Saughall Massie Road on your right)
  7. Turn left up Black Horse Hill, passing The Collingwood pub on your right
  8. At the junction at the top of the hill (junction of Black Horse Hill, Column Road and Grange Road) go nearly straight across, and down the hill (Grange Road) on the other side
  9. At the bottom of the hill, there is an indoor swimming pool with large windows on your right. (Orange sodium lamps are normally visible inside.)
  10. Immediately opposite this swimming pool (on your left) is Westbourne Road
  11. Westbourne Hall is 380 metres down Westbourne Road on your left hand side
  12. (Do not confuse with the Methodist Church Hall - which is 100 metres before you reach Westbourne Hall)
  13. The car park entrance is on the right hand side of the hall.
